A Natural Pest Control Solution

Spring has sprung and that means bugs.Let's face it we all have to deal with bugs from time to time but do you really want to douse your home in toxic pesticides or would you like to use a safer, more eco-friendly method for controlling pests?

Personally I like to opt for more eco-friendly solutions because not only are they safer for the environment they are also safer for my children's and my own health.

Conventional pesticides contain poisons that kill the pests. Poisons that can harm you and your family as well.

Choosing natural pesticides eliminates the majority of poisoning issues related to pesticides though you still should be careful, some natural pest control products contain plant extracts that can be harmful to pets and children or to anyone that may be allergic to that specific plant.

A good choice is All Natural Flea, Ant, Roach and Rodent Guard.

L'Oreal Professional Goes Natural

It is so great to see that many large companies are making efforts to "go green". Some companies are changing the way they do business, package, and ship their products while others are simply changing their products.

Some companies create a new line of "green" products while other companies do a little bit of greening in many areas.

L'Oreal Professional is the latest company to get a little greener. In addition to reducing waste and recycling which earned them a spot in the list of the 100 Most Sustainable Companies in the World for both 2008 and 2009 and a Natural Health Green Choice Award for 2009 they have now introduced a line of green haircare products. They have created a hybrid line of hair products that are more eco-friendly while still delivering the results consumers want.

"Traditionally, consumers have been challenged to find haircare products that are both eco-friendly and effective," said Alejandro Lopez, Vice President and General Manager of L'Oreal Professional USA. "So when we developed Serie Nature, it was our mission to create a natural world without compromising the efficacy for which L'Oreal Professional is known." Consumers no longer have to choose between eco-friendly and effective products. Now with L'Oreal Serie Nature they can have both- in one product.

Burn Green with Envirolog

Summer's coming and that means campfires, campouts, cookouts and lots of outdoor fun. I don't know about you but nothing says summer like a good campfire. But how do you go green while having a campfire?

Enviro-Log® has the answer to that.

The eco-friendly consumer products and recycling company that makes the Enviro-Log firelogs has created one of the greenest and most versatile firelogs on the market.

Enviro-Log is the largest waxed cardboard recycler in the U.S.; they use their recycled waxed cardboard to manufacture the earth-friendly firelogs. The Enviro-Log burns cleaner and much more efficiently than regular firewood and it offers more uses than other competitive wax and sawdust logs. Many wax and sawdust logs cannot be used indoors, in wood stoves, and should never ever be used for cooking because of the chemicals used to make the logs.
