Please
share a little about yourself, your genres, any other pen names you use.
I write romance under the name Rebecca Raisin, and
write pulpy type fiction under the name Billie Jones.
It’s a lot of fun having an alter ego!
Tell
us a little about your latest or upcoming release.
Christmas at the Gingerbread Café is a sweet romance
set in a café. There’s a lot going on in the small town of Ashford! And the
locals all want to know who the new guy in town is, especially Lil, since his
shop is in direct competition to hers.
Are
you a mom?
Yes, I have twin boys who are five.
If
yes do you find it hard to juggle writing and parenting (I bet with twin 5 years you must LOL)?
I find everything hard! My kids are like tornadoes!
I amble along behind them trying to clean up the debris. But, really, I try and
fit everything as best I can. Some days we have toast for dinner, and the
washing waits in the basket, the house looks like someone shook it up, because
I’ve been writing. But occasionally I catch up, for about ten minutes the house
looks great. And then it begins again!
My kids come first, and then writing, then the
housework J
What
would your readers be surprised to learn about you?
My favourite singer is Dolly Parton. My family and I
go crazy over her. Jolene, I mean who doesn’t love that song!
Is
there a genre(s) that you’d like to write that you haven’t tackled yet?
I would love
to write a thriller like Gillian Flynn does, but I think about half the writers
in the world probably think like that! She’s very clever! But I don’t write
thrillers. And I probably wouldn’t be able to because I’d get scared!
Thanks for having me!

Book Description:
Christmas is the season the Gingerbread Café was made for…but owner Lily couldn’t be feeling less merry if she tried. She’s spent another year dreaming of being whisked away on a sleigh-ride for two, but she’s facing festive season alone – again. And, just to give her another reason to feel anything other than candy-cane perky, a new shop across the road has opened… Not only is it selling baked goods, but the owner, with his seriously charming smile, has every girl in town swooning.
But Lily isn’t about to let her business crumble — the Gingerbread Café is the heart of the community, and she’s going to fight for it! This could be the Christmas that maybe, just maybe, all her dreams – even the someone-to-decorate-the-Christmas-tree-with ones – really do come true!

About the Author:
Rebecca Raisin is a true bibliophile.
This love of books morphed into the desire to write them. She’s been widely published in various short story anthologies, and in fiction magazines, and is now focusing on writing romance. The only downfall about writing about gorgeous men who have brains as well as brawn, is falling in love with them – just as well they’re fictional. Rebecca aims to write characters you can see yourself being friends with. People with big hearts who care about relationships, and most importantly, believe in true love.
