Welcome!
Thanks for interviewing me. J
1-Please share a little about yourself, your genres,
any other pen names you use.
I’m a Canadian freelance writer and
editor. I’ve been working in the industry for quite a few years, and have written
and edited stories in a wide range of genres, including middle reader, YA,
Sci-Fi, horror, mystery, and romance.
I’m writing a middle reader paranormal
mystery series, along with my daughter, under the pen name Annabelle Mallet.
2-Are you a mom ?
Yes, I’m the proud mother of three.
Two boys and a girl. J
3-If yes do you find it hard to juggle writing and
parenting?
There are days where it is hard. But
as long as I stay focused, prioritizing things, then I can get through the day
having accomplished quite a bit, the stuff that can’t wait and is important.
The rest can be done the next day.
Organization is the key. As is knowing
when to quit working and spend quality time with the kids and my hubby, and the
rest of the family. I work diligently weekdays from seven in the morning until
three in the afternoon, which is when my kids come home from school. After
that, I focus on the home life and my family, which helps me recharge and relax.
This way, I’m at 100% capacity when at
work and at home.
4-When you’re not writing, what do you do? Do you
have any hobbies or guilty pleasures?
When I’m not writing or editing, I
love to spend time with family and friends. I also love to read, walking and
hiking. I love taking long walks in parks. It clears my mind and awakens the
muse.
As for hobbies, I paint and cook. I
love to try out new recipes with my daughter.
As for guilty pleasures, I’d have to
say chocolate and chips. I try to stay away from them, especially chips because
they are so fattening and bad for us. But unfortunately when I do cave in to my
addiction, I end up eating half a pack of chips because I can never have just
one. Is there anyone who can? J
5-Of all the characters you’ve ever written, who is
your favorite and why?
My favorite so far is Belle Wilson
from my middle reader’s series, which I’m co writing with my daughter. Belle’s
a mixture of my daughter and I all rolled up into one, with several different
and interesting make-believe and funny traits added to the mix.
I can relate to her on so many creative
and imaginative levels. J
6-If this book is part of a series…what is the next
book? Any details you can share?
Yes, it’s part of a series. The next
installment takes place right where the first story ends. It’s Tristan’s story.
He’s no longer a fourteen year old teenager. He’s in his mid twenties. He’s
wiser, stronger, and more vulnerable. And in order to protect the world from
evil, he’ll have to partner up with someone he never would have imagined
working with. His new partner is not who he appears to be, and Tristan knows it.
7-What is next for you? Do you have any scheduled
upcoming releases or works in progress?
The second installment in my middle
reader’s series Adventures of a New Witch
is almost completed. Only two more chapters to go. So that will be coming
out soon. As for the next story in The
Forsaken Prophecies that will hopefully come out later this year. I’m still
writing it and it’s a long and complicated story to tell.

She tries to push her feelings for Rhett aside and focus on her visions to save her son before it’s too late.
