Interview and Giveaway with C Evanfall

Tell us a little about your latest or upcoming release.

I have recently finished the sequel to Sensitives, The Guardians and it is available now in Kindle format on Amazon. The third book in the series, titled The Forgotten will be released soon. Later this year, we will release the compilation titled The Wraith of Carter’s Mill. This special paperback edition will include the first three novellas in the series as well as a fourth story, Carter’s Mill, which will only be available in the paperback edition.

Are you a mom ?

I am ! My eldest is now 28 years old and lives in Tennessee. My second daughter lives in Washington State and she is 26 years old. My only son is 21 years old and still resides in our home town in coastal North Carolina.

If yes do you find it hard to juggle writing and parenting?

My kids are and have always been my greatest fans. They are all avid readers and so they were especially supportive when they were younger. If Mom was writing, they were always very polite and tried not to interrupt me. I remember though that it was much easier for me to focus back then late at night, after they were all in bed. The house was quiet and I did not feel as if I was pulling time away from them to write.

I think the key is to involve them as much as you can in the things that you love to do and try to maintain a balance that is fair and level with them.

Have you ever based your book or characters on actual events or people from your own life?

Many of my characters from The Wraith of Carter’s Mill series as well as several of the paranormal events that occur in the series are based on real life accounts that have been handed down to me. I was inspired by the stories I heard as a child to write this paranormal fiction series. Close family friends and family members may recognize some of the places and some of the characters may remind them of people they remember.

When you’re not writing what do you do? Do you have any hobbies or guilty pleasures?

I am actually quite into sustainable/natural living and “home” arts, as I like to call them. I am an avid gardener, I make homemade soap, I love to sew and knit and I really enjoy cooking. We grow as much of our own food as possible and I do a lot of canning.

What book are you reading now?

I am currently reading Anne Rice’s Wolf Chronicles.

About the Author:

C. Evenfall grew up in a small fishing village in Eastern North Carolina. The area was rich with history, ghost stories and unexplained phenomenon; all fodder for the vivid imaginings of a young girl. She began “collecting” stories at a young age.
At aged six, C. Evenfall experienced the paranormal firsthand and has been seeking answers ever since. Her fascination with the unexplainable and her love for old family ghost stories inspired her to write a collection of novellas. Each inspired by the experiences passed down through her family for generations.

C. Evenfall resides on the Carolina Coast with her husband, a self-proclaimed skeptic. She loves him anyway and the two complement each other perfectly.
