A Review of Draw-A-Saurus by James Silvani

My Review

Both of my youngest kids love to draw, and the little man, he absolutely loves dinosaurs.

This book combines two of his favorite things into something that will keep him busy for days as he experiments with the drawings and figures out how to bring extinct dinosaurs to life on paper, then give them a creative twist uniquely his.

And the teenager is right there next to him as they both use the instructions and ideas to bring dinosaurs back to life.

This is a fabulous, easy to use guide book which can help budding artists or experienced ones draw dinosaurs.

I love it. I haven't drawn much in years but I might even pick up a pencil and a give it a shot :-)

Gingerbread Dreams by Sheri Williams, Erzabet Bishop, and Skye Montague

Please welcome Erzabet Bishop.

Erzabet, share a little about yourself, your genres, any other pen names you use.

I write under Dana Wright for light romance, horror, YA and kids books. Recently I published my first novella called Asylum and am in the new Dead Harvest anthology with horror greats like Richard Chizmar. It is being sold on the Cemetery Dance website and Amazon and is doing quite well.

Tell us a little about your latest or upcoming release.

My latest release is a shared effort between three authors. It is called Gingerbread Dreams and is centered on a bakery during the holidays.

Are you a mom?

I am a dog mom to ten furry little tornadoes.

If yes do you find it hard to juggle writing and parenting?

Yes. I also work full time as a bookstore manager and write under another pen name, so my days are packed.

Have you ever based your book or characters on actual events or people from your own life?

Oh goodness. All the time. You know that shirt you've seen on the internet warning people to look out or they'll be in my novel? Oh yeah. If you fall in my line of sight or hearing, you're in there in some form or fashion.

Is there a theme or message in your work that you would like readers to connect to?

Adventure in romance starts with choices. With Silk Words, that's what its all about. Recently there was an article in USA Today that mentioned how interactive fiction is really taking off. The reader gets to determine how they want the story to go. I think that is important. How do you want the tale to end? With the sexy baker? The childhood sweetheart? A woman with some bondage cupcakes behind the pastry case? You pick the fun.

What would your readers be surprised to learn about you?

I used to hate tacos as a child and now I live in Texas. Go figure. You can't pry them from my hands and most nights after a late shift at the bookstore I swing by my local taco pervayor for a cruncy bit of yum.

When you’re not writing what do you do? Do you have any hobbies or guilty pleasures?

I love to crochet. In fact I'm working on a pair of fingerless gloves. The bedroom where I write gets pretty cold in the winter and I can never seem to find any fingerless gloves here in Houston.

Which romance book or series (or other genre, if you don’t write romance) do you wish you had written?

Oh…that's a toughie. I love the Kim Harrison books and have a fondness for the earlier books in the Anita Blake series. I also love the Brie series by Red Phoenix.

Is there a genre(s) that you’d like to write that you haven’t tackled yet?

I would love to write middle grade and give that a try. Maybe mysteries too.

If this book is part of a series…what is the next book? Any details you can share?

Gingerbread Dreams is a stand alone book, but I have a feeling there will be more books coming out with a shared author storyline in the near future.

What is next for you? Do you have any scheduled upcoming releases or works in progress?

Yes. I have Holiday Cruise, Temptation Resorts: Marnie's Tale and Jess's Adventure coming out from Silk Words in the next few months. I also have Pomegranate, Holidays in Hell and The Red Dress coming out from Breathless Press. Taboo II was just released by PWP, Unwrap These Presents, Wicked Things and Written on Skin are newly released along with my collection from Ladylit called Sweet Seductions: The Erzabet Bishop Collection.

My works in progress are: a twisted fairy tale, a super hero story, a romantic comedy, Sigil Fire 2, One Night in Houston and Charity Benshaw's Enchanted Paddle Emporium. I am waiting to hear on several other submissions and have plans to work with a group of authors for a box set release of dessert themed sexy shorts for the summer.

What book are you reading now?

I am reading Bloody Sexy by C. L. Bledsoe and it is rocking hot.

What is in your to read pile?

I have a massive one.

Hers to Own, The Family Tree, Seducing Cinderella, Tempting Her Best Friend, Dead Harvest, On the Way to Everywhere, Necro Files, Heaven to Hell, A Stitch on Time, Kiss of Christmas Magic and many, many more.

Guest Blog and Giveaway The Last Guardian Rises by Rebecca Trogner

Thanks for having me on your site today. It’s the Holiday season and I’m hunting for the perfect gifts.

My favorite gifts to give and receive are always books. I honestly can’t remember getting a book I didn’t like. Now, it might not have been what I would have chosen for myself, but that’s the genius of it, isn’t it. I mean we all tend to gravitate to the same types of stories, and it’s refreshing to read something different, something we wouldn’t have noticed.

Below are books I’ve read and adored and highly recommend.  If you have a favorite book let me know. I’m always in search of a new favorite.

The Thirteenth Tale, by Diane Setterfield. I can’t describe this any better than the jacket. “Biographer Margaret Lea returns one night to her apartment above her father’s antiquarian bookshop. On her steps she finds a letter. It is a hand-written request from one of Britain’s most prolific and well-loved novelists. Vida Winter, gravely ill, wants to recount her life story before it is too late, and she wants Margaret to be the one to capture her history.” Loved this book and would recommend it to anyone.

Night Film, by Marisha Pessl. I couldn't stop reading this book. It's hypnotic and chilling and more fun than I've had in a while. It involves a writer searching for an elusive director and the mysteries he discovers on his journey. For me, this is a book best read in print form so that you can see the images clearly.

Silent Movies: The Birth of Film and the Triumph of Movie Culture, by Peter Kobel. One of the most stunningly beautiful books I’ve read. It’s far more than a coffee table book and would be suitable for anyone who loves film.

The Fishing Fleet: Husband Hunting in the Raj, by Anne de Courcy. When the British ruled India, men traveled there to –what was then an exotic land -- make their fortune. It didn’t take long for adventuress Englishwomen to follow them abroad looking for suitable husbands.

Dead End Gene Pool, by Wendy Burden.  This is a quirky read written by the great-great-great granddaughter of Cornelius Vanderbilt.  Wendy takes us along as she reminiscences about her affluent relatives, her estranged mother, and her obsession with Wendy Williams.

Excerpt:

He came back cradling what looked like a journal in his large hands. It was bound in leather with a faded black ribbon tied around the covers.

“Fell, I guess.”

Lily knew it couldn’t have fallen on its own. And why didn’t the lights come on when it moved? She took the offered book from Liam and rubbed her hand over the old leather. Someone had taken great care to keep it oiled and the leather supple as sin. For now, its contents were silent. Not all texts spoke with her – perhaps this one would later, or never would.

“Ready?” Liam opened the door and waited for her to follow.

Her mind said no, definitely not ready to see Krieger, but her heart beat faster, and she remembered his cool, calm voice, and how she loved the ambiguous color of his hypnotic bluegrey eyes. The night before Lily’s mother was discovered and she’d fatally stabbed Henry, Lily had argued with Krieger. From this vantage, Lily could see how trivial her protestations were. She’d felt he’d betrayed her, though he hadn’t, and because of her, Krieger had staunched the flow of blood through the bond they shared. Now, just a hint of warmth was flowing through her body, that feeling of being connected to him again, that tiny bit of delicious balm soothing her worries.

About the Author:

Rebecca Trogner lives in the Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia, and frequently crosses the Blue Ridge Mountains that were the inspiration for Krieger’s home. She dreamed of being a writer, but got sidetracked by the day-to-day adventures of life. With the encouragement of her family, she has finished her second novel and is currently writing the next book in The Last Keeper’s Daughter series. Interview and Giveaway Lovely by Elizabeth SaFleur

Many thanks for having me!

Thanks for being here. Please share a little about yourself, your genres, any other pen names you use.

I write contemporary erotic romance under the pseudonym, Elizabeth SaFleur. My PR clients might be a little shocked their counselor writes, ahem, so directly. When I’m not doing PR or playing with my characters, I dance burlesque and cabaret with a semi-professional dance troupe, and play with my furry child (a Westie dog) and husband. You could say I’m a little busy.

Tell us a little about your latest or upcoming release.

Lovely explores the conflict between love and power. When the story opens we meet Christiana Snow, a college student, who is dead set on changing her lackluster life. When freshman Congressman, Jonathan Brond, proposes a summer of sexual submission, she leaps head first into his world. Jonathan finds Christiana an irresistible and rare young woman, the polar opposite of the polished yet boring divas he usually meets and his cynical, political world. They are perfect for one another except for a few small problems—Jonathan’s position, her age, and the fact Christiana’s best friend, budding socialite, Avery Churchill, has her eye on Jonathan. Soon, gossip and scandal threaten Jonathan and Christiana’s relationship—and they’ll both be forced to choose between love and their future.

Are you a mom ?

I’m a puppy mom. ;-) Everything I learned about optimism came from my little Westie. He can find a slice of sunshine to lie in, anywhere.

Have you ever based your book or characters on actual events or people from your own life?

I spent thirty years running or supporting public relations campaigns in and around Washington, D.C. I also lived there for fifteen years. After meeting members of Congress and their staff, government officials, agency heads, nonprofit leaders and many business moguls, my writing couldn’t not be influenced by them. People with power—real influence and responsibility—have left an indelible stamp on how I view and cast characters in similar positions. But every single character is a composite, at best. (I wouldn’t want the FBI to visit, wondering who the “real” Jonathan Brond might be.) Sorry, ladies. He’s fiction.

As for events, fifty percent of what happens in Lovely (and even more in subsequent Elite Doms’ novels) has occurred in real life either to me or someone I know. I’d love to know which half readers believe is “real” and which is “fantasy.” Feel free to stop me a line or tweet and post on other social networks with a guess!

Is there a theme or message in your work that you would like readers to connect to?

Yes! Having lived and worked in D.C. for so many years, I witnessed many “stifling” scenarios where people had to couch their words, play “nice” with people who weren’t so nice, and basically hide their true selves for votes, alliances, a business deal and/or societal acceptance. It can be soul-crushing. My character’s journeys often include learning to be themselves—either coming out of denial about who they really are, what they want (including what they like in bed), and growing more honest about both their gifts and their shortcomings . . . all with an eye to grow and evolve. I guess you could say my stories are about freedom.

What would your readers be surprised to learn about you?

I mentioned I dance in a semi-pro dance troupe. (We’re all everyday women with robust lives and jobs outside the dance studio.) For that same studio, for the last five years, I’ve taught everyday women exotic dancing: how to lap dance, chair dance and get back in touch with their sensual selves. We aren’t teaching women to be strippers.  But children, jobs, medical issues, careers and more can make women sometimes forget they are sexy beings. I love my writing and books. But teaching exotic dance to the woman who just had a double mastectomy, who is recovering from a sexual trauma or whose husband hasn’t given her a compliment in five years will go down – in my mind on my death bed -- as one of the greatest uses of my life.

Is there a genre(s) that you’d like to write that you haven’t tackled yet?

I have an idea for a dystopian menage romance that is more sweet and plot heavy than my current erotic romances. There’d be sex scenes but not to the level I write now. I guess that would make it a steamy romance?

Of all the characters you’ve ever written, who is your favorite and why?

Jonathan Brond will always hold a special place in my heart. He came to me with such force and beauty. Even with his flaws, I found him irresistible. But Yvette Sava DeCord is turning out to be a favorite. She is so much more complex than I originally believed—a former beauty queen who is a force to be reckoned with. Yvette is the epitome of a “steel magnolia.”

When Lovely was completed, she announced she was “next.” Hence my writing Holiday Ties, in which she “stars.” She and her love, Ryan Knightbridge, have since announced they want their own book. The Elite Dom series has now grown from six books to seven. Yes, they’ve already told me they refuse to be last. LOL

If this book is part of a series…what is the next book? Any details you can share?

The next Elite Doms book, Untouchable, features Dominant Carson Drake, who made a cameo in Lovely, and reluctant submissive London Chantelle.

When London visits a private BDSM club to get her “ridiculous” submissive desires out of her system, she runs into Carson—who also happen to be her PR client. He proposes they spend the weekend together. London, tired of battling her darker desires, throws caution off the Memorial Bridge and agrees. But Carson learns London’s secrets run deeper than he could guess. Soon both are forced to confront their pasts, and their sensual play takes a serious turn.

In Untouchable, The Tribunal, a council who monitors the BDSM scene in Washington and fourteen other cities, is introduced. The Washington Tribunal is comprised of seven Doms—the seven who make up the whole Elite Doms book series: Jonathan Brond, Carson Drake, Sarah (Jonathan’s sister), Derek Damon Wright, Mark Santos (Jonathan’s friend from Lovely), Alexander Rockingham, and Ryan Knightbridge.

So, readers will “meet” everyone they may wish to read about later, too.

What is next for you? Do you have any scheduled upcoming releases or works in progress?

In addition to Untouchable, I’m working on the Lovely sequel. The sequel picks up the summer after Christiana graduates from college. Christiana and Jonathan will hit a rough patch in this book. Another Dominant attempts to lure Christiana away. You can imagine how well that’s going to go over with Jonathan! But Christiana is still young and wishes to explore, while Jonathan has “family” on the brain. Yvette makes another appearance, which also adds a layer of complexity for Christiana. Oh, the things I do to my characters….

What book are you reading now?

I’m reading Anais Nin’s Delta of Venus. It’s been years since I’ve read it or anything she’s written. What a talent – and trendsetter.

What is in your to read pile?

My iPad has so many unread books downloaded to it, I’m surprised I can lift the thing. To name just a few: the latest Kresley Cole’s Arcana Chronicles, J. Kenner’s Most Wanted series, Shayla Black’s Wicked Lovers books, Liz Everly’s Eight Lays Around the World, Lexi Blake’s The Dom Who Loved Me, Eden Bradley’s Dangerously Bound, Lisa Renee Jones’ Inside Out Series, Joey W. Hill’s Vampire Queen series (which I’m just now getting to), Raine Miller’s Naked and whenever Stephenie Meyers comes out with the Host sequels.

Many thanks for having me! And thank you to all the readers for reading!

Chapter One

The Jefferson Suite had a reputation. Everyone said so.
Christiana Snow watched Henrick, the sous-chef, slip a red rose into the silver bud vase on the room service tray she’d been tasked to deliver. “There are some naughty stories about the guests that stay in that suite.” He winked. “Let me take you to dinner, and I’ll tell you all about it."
She turned her back on Henrick’s smirk—and his eyes that never seemed to travel farther north than her neck. Since the day Christiana started working at The Oak she’d fought the desire to bend her knees to force his gaze to her face. It would only give him the wrong idea.
Instead she threw back two ibuprofens with her milk and then set the glass into a nearby bin of dirty dishes. Gossip made her head hurt.
She felt Henrick’s eyes travel her body as she pushed the room service cart into the elevator. "For a reporter's daughter, you aren't very curious,” he called after her.
Curiosity wasn’t the issue. The Oak, which stood mere blocks from the White House, attracted politicians and paparazzi—and dozens of men, sporting earbuds attached to wires disappearing into their dark suits, sent to watch them both. It took real concentration to ignore the stories that the hotel’s staff collected like trophies.
At least the tips were good at the boutique hotel and restaurant, and the mundane work gave her time to think—or think forward, as her father always said. And that’s what she was going to do—think forward and move forward. She didn’t have time to get wrapped up in other people’s lives and certainly not the pseudo reality of the D.C. politicos.
The elevator creaked to a stop. Water sloshed in the silver pitcher as Christiana leaned over the cart to push the slatted metal door aside. A dusty, oil-paint smell greeted her as she started down the hallway, lined with canvases of hunting scenes set in over-sized, gilded frames higher than she was tall and wider than her arms could stretch.
Christiana took in a lungful of the stagnant air as she reached the Jefferson Suite’s double doors at the end of the corridor. She knocked and listened for the sound of footsteps. No one came.
Her leg danced with impatience. Mrs. DeCord’s order was Christiana’s last task of the day, and she wanted to finish it as fast as possible to rush off to meet Avery, her best friend. Christiana had agreed to be her “date” at some society fundraiser that afternoon.
Christiana studied the rich mahogany crown molding, lining the long hallway. Gold brocade wallpaper led her eyes to images of smiling women, draped in gossamer swaths of pastel blue and green fabric. They stared down from their ceiling mural home, their eyes cold and full of secrets.
Christiana knocked on the door once more. After no response, she pulled her master key card from her apron pocket and slipped it to the lock slot. The door cracked open but stopped against something on the other side. Through the gap in the door, she saw a man’s shoe lying on its side.
She called into the room, “Hello? Room service. Ma’am?” No one answered though muffled voices resonated deeper within.
Well, she couldn’t wait. She pushed harder on the door, and the shoe slid aside.
The cart’s wheels whispered over the marble entryway floor. She announced herself one more time. No reply. She picked up the man’s dress shoe, an expensive leather smell wafting to her nose. She set it down beside a tufted chair in the hall.
A male voice echoed from the bathroom off the suite’s master bedroom. “No, Yvette.”
“Please take me. I won’t say a thing.” Mrs. DeCord’s voice reverberated off the tile.
“You know our agreement.”
Mrs. DeCord whined, “I don’t understand why I wasn’t invited. I’ll show up anyway.”
“You won’t do any such thing, Yvette.” He spoke her name like a caress. “Take off your panties.”
Christiana’s insides seized at the man’s abrupt change in tone. Maybe she had heard wrong. After a long silence, she urged the cart forward, but the wheels bogged down on the plush carpet in the living area.
The voice spoke. “Bend over, put your hands on the counter. Good. Look in the mirror. Eyes on me, Yvette.”
Smack! A sharp slap pierced the air, and Christiana jerked backward as if stung. Mrs. DeCord moaned. Was she hurt?
Christiana couldn’t break her gaze, eyes glued on the bedroom doors. They weren’t closed completely. They were slightly ajar, a sliver of the interior showing through a small crack.
“Open your legs.” The man’s voice, sandpaper and velvet, rooted Christiana in place even though her heart fluttered wildly. “Very nice, baby.”
Christiana took a deep breath to steady herself, inhaling musk mixed with the fragrance of lilacs. Something else hung heavy in the air.
Mrs. DeCord’s whimpers grew louder.
Should she call, so they knew she wasn’t trying to hide her presence? If they saw her, would they realize she had overheard? Should she leave? If she abandoned the lunch, they’d know she’d heard and run away, probably to gossip.
“Mmm, you like that, don’t you, sweetheart?”
Christiana licked her lips at the man’s chocolate-caramel tone. She tried to place the voice—maybe he was a radio announcer. No, he sounded too sexy and way too dangerous.
Slap! Slap! Christiana’s leg bumped into the cart and silverware clanked. Water splashed on the linen, and she stilled, but no new sound came from the bedroom.
She couldn’t abandon the lunch in the middle of the living room. She’d just have to be quick. Christiana maneuvered the cart to the small bay window overlooking Pennsylvania Avenue. She set up the silver and lifted the dome on Mrs. DeCord’s salad.
“Touch yourself,” the deep, rich voice said. Christiana’s heart punched at her ribs, and she lifted one hand to her breast to still it. Her eyes darted to the doors.
She gulped and tried to shake off the sound of the man’s sexy intonation. Christiana tiptoed over to the French doors of the master bedroom and risked a peek into the room. The bed’s comforter wilted over one side of the bed, and sheets bunched in a tight wad at the foot, bulging through the brass rails of the footboard. Pillows lay scattered on the floor. Braided black ropes hung limply from the frame of the headboard. She envisioned a restrained body, spread-eagle and helpless on the bed. Oh, god.
A chill broke out across her body. Instinct told her to click the doors shut. She winced at the snick of the door jam. Did they hear her?
More whispers escaped from behind the closed doors. She couldn’t make out the words, but the sensual rhythm of his voice rose and fell in a soothing, hypnotic cadence. Christiana’s ears strained for the man’s instructions, for what he wanted Mrs. DeCord to do next. Footsteps brushed across the carpet in the bedroom. The man spoke in rumbling purrs, approaching the bed.
She bit her bottom lip when a thought arose about that strange, human scent. Sex. A pang hit between her thighs as an image slipped into place of the faceless man—with that voice—putting his mouth on Mrs. DeCord’s neck.
A long wail and an ecstatic groan drifted from inside the bedroom.
Christiana stepped back. She needed to leave—now. If caught eavesdropping, even accidentally, she’d be dismissed. She clutched the silver dome to her chest like a shield and slunk to the marble foyer. The man’s smoky voice oozed into the main room as the suite’s front door clacked behind her, a barrier to . . . what?
She jogged down the long hallway to the elevator, punched the call button, and tried to steady her breathing as the elevator creaked upward. The man’s voice still reverberated in her chest. Relief coursed through her body, glad she hadn’t run into either of them inside, especially him. One look and he would have guessed she’d heard, had sucked in the air, heavy with sex, and understood.
Her imagination settled on Mrs. DeCord pressed into the mattress under a dark, mysterious man. His lips floated over her breast. Christiana shook her head in a vain attempt to stop the image from evolving into the man slipping his hands between the woman’s legs.
Christiana hit the button twice more. Come on. She gave up on the antiquated elevator and headed to the stairs. More questions surfaced with each step downward.
Did Henrik’s wink mean he knew? Who was Mrs. DeCord hooking up with in the Jefferson Suite? The mystery man had done something carnal to her, something she’d wanted done, though Christiana couldn’t imagine what. Something with ropes and slaps and Lord knows what else. Maybe she should’ve listened when the other waitresses, huddled in the employee break room, tittered about who slipped through the hotel lobby trying not to be noticed.
Then again, maybe not. She began to understand why her manager, Brian, had directed staff to drop off the orders and avoid looking around. He had warned, “In the political climate of Washington, D.C., some things are best not to see.”
Christiana dislodged her overactive daydreaming and ran to the staff room to gather her things before clocking out. She jumped when her phone rang.
“Hey, get here already! I’m guarding your dress in the main ladies room. You know where,” Avery said. “I never wore it, and you seem to like blue.”
Avery’s closet enjoyed a regular turnover, as the budding socialite wouldn’t be caught dead photographed in anything twice. Christiana was the grateful recipient of Avery’s generosity. Her hand-me-downs were really more like hand-me-ups for Christiana.
She grabbed her purse from her locker. “I’m leaving right now. How come this event is so early?”
“Mom said it’d be like happy hour. It’s really so they can all start drinking earlier. Serve anyone interesting today?”
“No one special.” She glanced in the small mirror inside the door and smoothed down a few wispy bangs to cover up the two-inch scar on her forehead, now pink from exertion.
“Oh, come on. It’s an election year. Everyone wants to be seen.”
Christiana laughed. “You sound like my dad.” The silence on the other end signaled Avery wasn’t pleased with the comparison. Another faux pas—something Avery said Christiana was very good at making, like wearing the same dress to a charity event more than once.
“Um, do you know Mrs. DeCord?” Christiana asked.
“Sure. Former Miss Dallas, married to a high-powered lawyer. Well, at least for now. Women like that go through men like wardrobe changes. Why? What’d she do? Spill it.”
“Oh, nothing. She comes in from time to time.” Damn, she shouldn’t have asked. Avery’s natural investigative nature came alive when a fellow socialite’s name arose.
“Who was she with today? Not her husband?” Avery’s voice lit up with excitement.
“I don’t know what her husband looks like. It was probably him.”
Avery snorted. “Yeah, right. No one goes to The Oak with who they’re supposed to be with.”
“I’ll take your word for it. Look, I’ll be there as soon as I can, okay?”
Christiana stuffed her phone into her purse and sprinted to the garage.
Cars choked Constitution Avenue even on a Saturday. Tourist season had begun in Washington. Families clad in matching t-shirts and people carrying maps and cameras would soon replace D.C.’s full-time residents, who would escape the city for Rehoboth Beach on most muggy summer weekends.
She shifted in her seat and adjusted the air conditioning vents to blow directly over her clammy chest. Christiana glanced to the National Mall alongside Constitution Avenue. Stopping at a red light every thirty-five feet never used to bother her. It gave her time to take in the sights. But lately the Washington Monument’s constant pointing to the sky created an unsettling feeling. It only reminded her nothing really changes in D.C.
Christiana pulled up to the entrance of the Rosemont Country Club only ten minutes late. Sunlight bounced off the brass plaque on the white brick pillars, the only announcement to the outside world that the elite of Washington gathered at the other end of the dogwood-lined driveway. Members of Congress discussed budget negotiations while golfing and bored wives complained about Neiman Marcus inventory while sunning themselves on the terrace.
Avery’s family had held membership here since the club opened in the 1920s. Her great-grandfather was one of the founding members. The Churchill women had spent countless hours flipping from their backs to their fronts by the swimming pool and attending mixers and events in the cool evenings. Avery reveled in the ambience. Butterflies usually took over Christiana’s stomach at the thought of crossing the threshold of the country club though she attempted to raise a little gratitude for Avery’s generosity in letting her tag along. Or drag me along.
Christiana handed her keys to the valet, whose traditional red coat was replaced by a ridiculous number in black and pink. Oh, right, today’s event was a fundraiser for breast cancer research. Great, she’d be in blue while everyone else draped themselves in various shades of fuchsia and rose. She hoped no one would notice. She knew everyone would. Even when helping a great cause, Washington feasted on mistakes, and failure to heed dress codes was a major gaffe. It took a lot of time and money—none of which she had—to conform to all the rules of Avery’s world.
She shook her head and tried to focus on not tripping up the stairs in her high-heeled sandals. But memories of work today and what she’d overheard at the Jefferson Suite kept replaying in her mind. Stop it. Chris. Think forward. She slipped through the massive oak door.

About the Author:

Elizabeth SaFleur is an erotic romance author who is finally sharing what simmers in her imagination—lots of alpha males, seductive encounters, and love. For many years she lived and worked in her novels’ setting, Washington, D.C., in public relations. In her thirty-year career, she represented or encountered some of the city's powerful insiders.

Elizabeth now writes, tweets and posts under her pseudonym, Elizabeth SaFleur, since her former clients might be a little shocked at their past PR counselor’s new career choice.  Then again, perhaps they would fear they provided inspiration. (She has sworn secrecy.)

Her series, the Elite Doms of Washington, is contemporary erotic romance for the progressive woman—unafraid and unencumbered by society’s boundaries.

Lovely, the first novel in the series debuting in January 2015, was inspired one sunny day at an outside cafĂ© in Washington Harbor where Elizabeth swore she witnessed a woman being lashed to a sailboat mast, happily. Lovely’s hero, Jonathan Brond, was born that day when he silently answered her unspoken question, “does she like that?” with yet another question: “Would you like to find out?”

Today Elizabeth shares twenty-eight, wildlife-filled acres in Central Virginia with her husband and dog, and is sometimes separated from her laptop to indulge in dance classes and visits to wineries and hiking trails with friends. She lives by one quote: “If you really want to be happy, nobody can stop you.”

Elizabeth is a member of the Romance Writers Association, the Washington Romance Writers, and avid reader of all fiction genres, but especially books with a happily-ever-after ending. Visit www.ElizabethSaFleur.com to drop her a note.
