A Review of Clean Slate: A Cookbook and Guide: Reset Your Health, Detox Your Body, and Feel Your Best

My Review

Great concept and some fabulous recipes but I'm a mom on a budget so I can't exactly focus on food for just me- because there are not too many recipes in this book the entire family will eat.

The whole wheat waffles with strawberries and yogurt we can do, my family loves waffles and the kids adore strawberries and yogurt so that one is a winner, the hard boiled egg with mustard is also winner, and many of the soups are a definite yes-but all the fish-no. My family doesn't eat fish (other than tuna). I know we should but no matter how it is cooked we can't get past the "fishiness" of it and believe me I've tried cooking it in numerous ways. It's always a big no.

There are a few of the drinks, tonics and smoothies my family is willing to try so at least we have those but unfortunately for the most part this book is useless for my picky eating family.

The desserts- now those the family will love. It's always wonderful to have healthy dessert options and these ones are delicious esepecially all the dark chocolate recipes (I love dark chocolate). And the bananas and cocoa- simples and super easy. And the kids love the coconut water pops.
