I also have read erotica for a while and I (or my hubby) has never referred to it as 'porn.' We have referred to it as smut or naughtiness but that is the 'worst' we ever call itAstridhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03156969908673101559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5207426109701329486.post-71544516696954096602012-06-12T20:40:45.623-04:002012-06-12T20:40:45.623-04:00I can understand why that could be an insult. But to tell you the truth, I don't care what anyone calls it because I plan to read what I want to read either way because I love it! :) So keep on writing and I'll keep on reading.

Anna @ Book Lovin' MamasAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16824166799752048036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5207426109701329486.post-18458931623492494702012-06-12T14:32:06.979-04:002012-06-12T14:32:06.979-04:00"Mommy porn"...really? Who came up with ..."Mommy porn"...really? Who came up with this term? I'm betting it was a man, but that's just my opinion. I do have to laugh when I hear this term but at the same time, I get annoyed.

People who use this sexist derogatory term in reference to any sexually explicit books that women, "mommies" read (and let's face it, women tend to read more than men)forget that mothers are sexual beings are were so BEFORE they were mommies. I mean how do you think we became mommies in the first place??

There's no justification for this term to exist. I being the mother of two, am not about the apologize for the steamy things that I read. There's NOT a thing wrong with it and I sure don't view these books as "mommy porn".Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16117195310992029337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5207426109701329486.post-88049055175903430592012-06-11T12:35:43.760-04:002012-06-11T12:35:43.760-04:00I hate the mommy porn term, sounds so derogatory. ...I hate the mommy porn term, sounds so derogatory. I don't know why anything that gets a "mommy" related lable just sounds like people are bashing moms or belittling moms. It's like- hey they brought new life in this world and have the hardest job ever but so what they're "just a mom".

I think women have the right to enjoy sex and not be treated like crap or belittled because of it. Men have objectified us and used us but oh no if the woman enjoys it we must make her feel like shit about it.

Such a double standard.Roxanne Rhoadshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08727784602361446818noreply@blogger.com
