Interview with Kerry Taylor Author of Fly, Pray, Love

Please share a little about yourself, your genres, any other pen names you use.

I was born in London, moved out to Spain on a work contract four years ago.  I have not left since.  The Spanish have adopted me as their own and the climate is a plus factor.  I use three pen names – Kerry Taylor, Isabella Jones and Simone West

Tell us a little about your latest or upcoming release.

Fly, Pray, Love - Robert is a doctor and feels that he made a mistake in a recent operation. He is deflated and unsure about his long term relationship with Amanda aka the b****. He takes a trip to Bahamas and is attracted to the coffee stained, dress in her underwear, hair raising woman sitting next to him, Josephine. Josephine is power and man hungry, attracted to Robert aka Brad .

Can Josephine change her ways and step down a peg or two, when she realizes everyone has a partner, but not her?

Will Robert realize that his relationship with Amanda is causing problems with his self-esteem?

This is the first of many trips, where they accidently bump into each other, but will they ever reunite?

This is a laugh-out-loud Cross-Atlantic romance with twists and turns.

Are you a mom?

Yes to two boys and one girl.  Aged 17, 8 and 2 respectively. Everyone says at least I have a teenager, so it not so bad.  Actually, he is harder work then the other two.

If yes do you find it hard to juggle writing and parenting?

I am finding it extremely difficult with work pressures, so I have reduced my writing hours.  Previously, when they are asleep is the best time, that is the only time I can fully concentrate.  The problem is I am normally ready for bed that time too.

Have you ever based your book or characters on actual events or people from your own life?

Yes, all the time.  I do not think any writer has that much of an imagination.  My children feature in my books most of the time. I cannot think of one person I know that has not featured in my books.

Is there a theme or message in your work that you would like readers to connect to?

Life is what you make it.
