Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.
I love to celebrate all month long in October and I make sure my family takes advantage of all the free and low cost fun there is to be had before the cold weather turns us into hibernating bears who don't want to go and do anything.
Here's a list of all the activities I found that are free and very low cost in and around Genesee County- many right here in Flint
On the second and fourth Saturday of every month Lowes has a free kid's building workshop at 10 am.
This month the building projects have Halloween themes.
On Saturday October 9 they are building a funhouse mirror
On October 23 they are making a Flapping Bat
You can learn more about the Lowe's Build and Grow programs, sign up, or find a Lowes in your area by going to http://www.lowesbuildandgrow.com/
Michaels stores are having a lot of Halloween theme fun activities some are free make it take it crafts while others cost a small fee for purchasing supplies- almost always under $5

Frankenmuth River Place is having a Scarecrow Fest full of fun kids events Sat and Sun October 16 and 17- it lists the following weekend 23 & 24 too but according to the brochure most all the events will be the 16 & 17.
