Tell
us a little about your latest or upcoming release.
Dancing with a Dead Horse is about a young man,
Jason, who is dealing with the problem that his mother wants him to be a ballet
dancer like she was. He wants to be a Mixed Martial Arts fighter. Suddenly,
when he finds the body of the most popular girl in school, his world is turned
upside down. Especially when it appears that the killer is targeting him in a
most unusual way.
Have
you ever based your book or characters on actual events or people from your own
life?
Yes. In Sorrow’s Point, when Tabby’s car has a man
defecate in front of her car, that actually happened to my parents and some
family friends who were with them on a vacation.
What
would your readers be surprised to learn about you?
That I hate to get my picture taken. I very
begrudgingly did my author’s photo. If it had been up to me, I probably would
have used a picture of me as a kid in a Batman T-shirt. LOL.
Which
book or series do you wish you had written?
I really wish I had written The Strain series by
Guillermo de Toro and Chuck Hogan. Simply amazing series of books.
Is
there a genre(s) that you’d like to write that you haven’t tackled yet?
Historical Fiction. I have an idea about some things
that occurred in the coal fields of WV pre-1920.
What
is in your to read pile?
I have a lot of Science Fiction in my to-read pile.
My next project is going to be an odd sci-fi novel- which I’ve never written
before, so this should be interesting. I will probably start out with Do
Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Philip K. Dick. It is the book that
inspired the movie Bladerunner.

Book Description:
Sometimes lullabies aren’t soothing; they’re deadly.
Sixteen-year-old, Jason Miller, wants three things: to become a professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter, graduate from high school, and avoid his mother’s ballet classes.
When he finds the body of the most popular girl in school, he has a major freak-out session, and then calls 911. But if finding a body wasn’t bad enough, when a horse doll made of human skin and hair is found in his locker, the entire town accuses Jason of the murder.
As the body count rises, so does the hostility. Jason is left with a choice: To run and hide or to clear his name and find out why the killer is targeting him before it’s too late.
