Thanks for having me on the blog today! I'm Erzabet Bishop
and I'm the author of the new interactive story, Holiday Cruise. In the novella, we have a young woman on her first
holiday vacation as a college student. She's hanging out on a weekend cruise
and about to find some sexy ways to spend some time beneath the tinsel.
Why interactive
fiction?
Interactive fiction is a wonderful way to write and read a
story. Think about a book you've recently read and the ending. Were you totally
happy with it? Would you have changed anything about it? What about if you
could? There you go… With interactive fiction you get to see a series of
options and find your new book boyfriend or girlfriend for the afternoon or
evening.
Writing process:
There is definitely a structure that must be in place with
interactive fiction and with each project I learn more about it. I also use a
series of sticky notes on a foam core board to give me some idea what is going
on in the story and where I could take it. A complete outline for me is too
structured. With the sticky notes, I can move them when the story changes and
still be in control.
Five facts about me:
I am a bookstore manager in my day job, a wife and dog mom
to a large brood of furry tornadoes.
Guacamole and tacos are a collective food group.
If I am not writing, I am reading something. You have to
always have inspiration and get other author's points of view in your brain.
Otherwise it just gets stagnant in there.
Hobbies: crochet, baking, watching monster movies with my
hubby and furry kids.
I am also a music reviewer, author of light romance, YA and
horror under another pen name.
Reader question:
What kinds of
interactive romances would you like to read? Menage?
Paranormal? Dystopian?
Zombies on the rise? Tell me your ideas for you to be a character in my next
interactive romance adventure…
Happy holidays and I
hope you enjoy reading Holiday Cruise!
