I am a food addict. Plain and simple.
For me everything revolves around a good meal, whether it be a business meeting or a social event, food has to be a part of the equation.
My favorite people are those that like me, love to spend time in the kitchen. Whether cooking a lovely rich stew or baking some blue cheese muffins, it is always unique to the person that creates it. In many ways it is an art form and expresses who they are and their state of mind at that moment.
At the end of a long day, nothing pleases me more, then to pour myself a glass of red wine, dig up a side snack like some fine cheese cuts to open my appetite and ponder around the food pantry before I decide on an impromptu dish.
Rich and fragrant are my prerequisites. Plenty of spices like Paprika and black pepper, to heat things up a little.
I have traveled a lot and love to meet new cultures and their cooking habits and this has played a huge influence on me.
To intimately know someone, is to know their cuisine and how they eat and with who.
My favorite is a leg of pork slowly cooked with honey mustard that gives it plenty of succulence. A good companion can be roasted potatoes with caramelized onions and perhaps some baby carrots to add some color.
A lovely splash of green salad complete with lots of pomegranates and flaxseed leaves my mouth watering all the time.
