Please share a little about yourself, your genres, any other pen names
you use.
I’m a
self-published author who started this writing adventure about two years
ago. I loved writing poems in high
school but stopped writing after high school.
I never really believed I could be a writer or share a story with anyone. After I finished my bachelor’s degree, during my internship my director told me I
could not write, and that my writing was at elementary level. Unfortunately I believed her and continued to
keep my words safely tucked away in special area of my brain. One day my many thoughts finally decided it
was time to be set free in the form of a dream, I woke and wrote it down
immediately. After my husband read the
dream he said the most beautiful words.
He wanted to know more about the story, and thought I really had a story
to tell. Two years later I have a series
that continues to evolve and will be introducing some fun characters. What I love about this writing opportunity
are the many different things we can learn about. For book four I will be exploring all about
burlesque for Shawna, and I’m so
excited to get to learn and then share with you.
Right now I only write contemporary romance. I plan to write YA, NA, Erotica, and possibly
explore paranormal.
My only pen name is Terra Kelly, but if I do write
Erotica I will have to adjust my pen name for that genre.
Tell us a little about your latest or upcoming release.
Book two, “Need You,” has a
special place in my heart and was the reason I started this writing
adventure. The story is about Alyssa,
Alex, and Alyssa’s
daughter Lexie, who plays an important role in the story. After Alyssa faces an extreme tragedy, her
life is thrown upside-down and inside-out.
Alyssa struggles to move forward until she meets Alex. This book shares some serious emotion and so
much love on every page.
What would your readers be surprised to learn about you?
In high school I loved writing poems, they were usually
some form of romance and shared my emotions in each sentence. Also, for a high school project I wrote and
illustrated a children’s
story. I still have the story tucked
away and ready to be shared.
I have a severe hearing impairment and read lips to
hear. I love writing and reading, they
are easier ways to communicate with people.
When you’re not writing what
do you do? Do you have any hobbies or guilty pleasures?
I have run a food blog for over five years at
www.cafeterrablog.com. I create recipes,
write each blog post, and love styling each photo for my blog. My passion for food lead me to share recipes
in each book.
I love wine and bourbon.
To get me out of my pjs when I’m not writing, I have fun holding wine tastings at local
stores. I love learning and doing taste
pairings with wine and bourbon.
Is there a genre(s) that you’d like to write
that you haven’t tackled yet?
Since my niece will not be 18 for several more years, I
promised her I would write a YA series.
All my books are way too steamy for her to read. I also plan to write erotica and possibly
paranormal someday,
If this book is part of a series…what is the next
book? Any details you can share?
The next book I will be sharing is book three in The
Winters Family Series. The story is
about Joshua Winters and Kenzie Waters.
They first met in high school, and now after 10 years apart Joshua doesn’t plan to ever let her go.
What is next for you? Do you have any scheduled upcoming releases or
works in progress?
I have started writing book three in The Winters Family
Series, it’s set
to publish in June 2015. I will be
writing book four in The Winters Family Series, it will be published in
September. Plus a fun addition, a
novella about Alex and Alyssa from book two set to publish in December.
I plan to share more Winters Family Series additions
next year, along with starting a new series.

Until Alex arrives in Boise.

He finds a job opening in Boise, Idaho for an Executive Chef position. He lost his job and girlfriend in the same day, now it’s time to just focus on work, or so he thought.

About the Author:
A romance nerd at heart, I tend to find inspiration in my dreams, or when walking my dog. My love for romance goes all the way back to when I was 15, and laying on my best friend’s bed reading romance books. It only took me 25 years to start putting all my stories on paper….well actually a computer. I was born and raised in Michigan, now live in the South in North Carolina. So my accent sounds like a Yankee with a slight Southern drawl. When I am not writing you will find me reading, or baking.
My real life romance started when I was just 19. Now over 20 years later, my husband is not only my lover but my best friend. We only raise furry kids, we have one dog and two cats. Our animals are all rescues.
I am a foodie, who loves creating recipes.
Over four years ago I started a food blog at CafeTerraBlog. My love for food is why each of my books will always share new recipes made by the characters.
I love connecting with my followers. You can find me on Facebook and Twitter. I will keep you up to date on what I am writing, book release dates, and so much more on my website.
